What ID Form 4473 requires
For an ATF Form 4473 transfer, the buyer must present a valid government-issued photo identification document showing their name, photograph, and date of birth. If that document doesn't also show the buyer's residence address, ATF allows a supplemental valid government-issued document that does.
A Social Security card is not acceptable, and a single document that lacks any required element (name, photo, DOB, address) generally isn't sufficient on its own.
