1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Kred website (kredscan.com) or purchasing Kred products, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using this site or purchasing our products.

2. Products and Services

Kred is an ID scanning and patron management system consisting of hardware devices and pre-installed software. By purchasing a Kred device, you receive:

• The physical hardware device
• A perpetual license to use the Kred software installed on that device
• Free software updates for the lifetime of the device

3. Kred Cloud Subscription

Kred Cloud is an optional subscription service providing additional features including an admin web portal, multi-device syncing, and lost device protection. The subscription is billed monthly per device. You may cancel at any time, and your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period.

4. Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in US dollars. Payment is processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method provided and that the information you provide is accurate.

5. Shipping and Delivery

We offer free standard shipping on all hardware orders within the United States. Delivery times may vary based on location. We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers or customs processing for international orders.

6. Returns and Refunds

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all hardware purchases. If you are not satisfied with your Kred device, you may return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. The device must be returned in its original packaging and in working condition. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

Kred Cloud subscription fees are non-refundable for partial months but will not be charged after cancellation.

7. Warranty

All Kred hardware devices come with a 1-year manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. This warranty does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, unauthorized modifications, or normal wear and tear.

8. Permitted Use

Kred is designed for lawful age verification and patron management at licensed venues. You agree to use Kred only for its intended purpose and in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of Kred complies with privacy laws in your jurisdiction.

9. Data Responsibility

You are the data controller for all patron information collected using your Kred device. You are responsible for:

• Configuring appropriate data retention settings for your jurisdiction
• Securing physical access to the device
• Managing user accounts and access controls
• Complying with applicable data protection regulations

10. Intellectual Property

The Kred name, logo, software, and all related materials are the intellectual property of Tekhne, LLC. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our services or included software without our written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tekhne, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of Kred products or services.

Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of Kred shall not exceed the amount you paid for the product or service giving rise to the claim.

12. Disclaimer

Kred is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected. While Kred includes fake ID detection features, we do not guarantee the detection of all fraudulent documents.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tekhne, LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of Kred or violation of these Terms of Service.

14. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of Kred after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
